It’s one of those “feeling moments” I have, I see a face and it tells me something, it brings me to places. I’m a real face or body freak, I love looking at faces the way I look at paintings, or flowers. Time will tell me if I’m wrong, I think I’m not. She works with ELITE London
Tom, Sir Tom, always there, because who has been there as long as Tom??. Of course other artists out there survived the 60s and 70s, but let’s face it, Tom is different.
Still that hair, that smile, that charming and gentleman attitude. Sir Tom Jones is The Man, the man I would love to met just to have a drink and listen to him, because as Kylie recently said on The Voice UK (where both work as judges), Tom’s voice sounds cool even when he is coughing! And she said that just after that lovely girl auditioning said: “your voice sounds a little bit like God, imagine just Got talking to you, you would be the voice”. That was really fun to watch, because Tom, always with his sense of humour and his Welsh ways, was so humble and surprised to hear that from a 16-year-old that said “I started doing gigs when I was 13”, and came to The Voice with her guitar singing her own version of “I’m Sexy and I know it”.
Sexy, even that is still there, like him. Will.I.am, who also sits there as a judge just beside Kylie and Tom, says things like “you’ll be save in the hands of the wisdom”, or ” this man has worked with every artist that ever lived on this planet”. Will, you’re one of a kind too, but Tom is Tom Jones.
Well, not a wonder he knows Kate Moss, and likes being next to her. I think Tom has a great common sense (so has Kate, otherwise I don’t think she would survive the business for that long), and Kate Moss is just becoming to fashion what Tom Jones is to music, a legend. Love them both, and Tom’s hair just finishes the look both of them give together! Sorry Tom, you know I love you.
Thanks to Grazia Daily Uk, there you’ll find a great review of Kate Moss looks over the years.
This was taken in 2004 if I’m not wrong…wow, it’s a long time ago already.
A young photographer took in that big apartment in Barcelona, a few friends where there and they wanted to take pictures of me wearing that fur coat. The hat was my idea, we had no photo set or anything, no make up artist, no chance to set the lights properly. However, I love this photo.
Is there a better face to wear short hair than Stella’s? I actually had a similar haircut years ago, and I liked it, but Stella Tennant has the ideal face, skin, eyes, nose, cheekbones and neck to experiment with short hair all the time. I also like her with a short bob, but it’s her personality, her strong and relaxed attitude…always loved her, and I’m glad she is still working so I can see her over and over again. Thanks Stella Tennant, for reminding us from time to time what british chic looks like.
Thank you MFD-Multiple Fashion Disorder
Andrew Birkin, mostly known as a film director but also for being the brother of Jane Birkin, took a lot of pictures of his sister by the time she was working with Serge Gainsbourg for the first time. The two where working in Slogan, and Jane told her brother that her partenaire Serge was “arrogant and horrible…”. But of course everything changed, she came to know Serge and the two became one of the most (if not the most famous) known couples ever in France. Thanks VOGUE Germany for the few pictures you show us this December of Andrew Birkin’s work.
First thought after opening the Glamour November 2013 (Germany) magazine yesterday: Who the hell had the idea of putting those two together??
Second thought, ok, Cara loves singing. I already did share my opinion about Cara singing a few months ago, and I still believe she has a very special and natural voice that sounds like I expected her to sound like. So everything is fine with that, because who produces more songs than Pharrell Williams in this industry at the moment? Just google him, and you’ll read that already in 2003, over 43% of music we could listen to on the radio, was produced by this lovely guy at least in the USA. So the music is something they have in common, and I really do think he is a lovely guy, after I read that he chose Cara Delavigne himself for this shooting.
They also appeared in other printed pages, but thanks to Glamour I discovered that 15 years ago Pharrell discovered Gucci and Prada (yes, he says that Kelis showed him those) and that those brands saved him from a life just in Ralph-Lauren poloshirts!! Well Pharrell, what I liked most about this whole article, wasn’t the photos (I think they could have done even better with faces like yours and Cara’s), it actually was that you seem to be so much into your work and what you’re passionate about, that somebody else had to show you Gucci. Love people who are successful just doing “their thing”, without wasting energy all over the place with something like Gucci (nothing against the brand, don’t get me wrong). I follow you on twitter Pharrell, so it’s not a secret that I like you and what you do.
Picture from ShopStyle Deutschland, thank you very much.
I think I already told you I’m working with a photographer this week, he is german and tomorrow I’ll have to wake up at 5 am again to finish this modeling job. This morning after the shooting we had breakfast, and one of the names that came up in to our conversation was Marlene Dietrich, not only because both of us do love her, but because he actually has got a book with an autograph from Marlene herself!! And I mean specially for him!
Is that awesome, or is that awesome???… he is so lucky he could photograph not only one (he sadly never could work with Marlene) but several icons I admire.
As you can imagine, eating (love good breakfasts) and talking to somebody who is obsessed with some stars the way I do, was almost the best part of the working routine. I love artists like Reinke, because it’s fun listening to him…He also mentioned that many things they tried and worked for Marilyn, did work for Marlene before (like that item she is wearing on the picture, does it ring THE bell?)! And Marlene was so smart, she kept every costume and piece of clothing from her work (which I’m not sure she was always alowed to do), so we all can see it now in her museum.

It’s the first thought that crossed my mind when I first saw a picture of over 60 top model Ana Von Rüden: that’s how I would like to be when I’m over 60. Long beautiful hair, confidence, tons of personality, beauty, maturity and a face that shows I’m not 40 anymore, without botox, and fit!
She is great and must have a special sense of humour, being backstage with 18-year-old models and just do the job naturally and better than anyone else, is funny, and really cool. She is cool, chic, it’s classy and timeless, and she looks like a superwoman to me, proud to be who she is. Thank you Ana Von Rüden for being there for all of us reminding women what’s interesting.
The photo is from the great blog Fashion Over 60, great place to visit.
I already told you I respect older people, their experience is better than a book to me and Iris Apfel is amazing, adorable, smart, funny, so rare (if not totally unique) and one of a kind. Did you know she has a voice of a young woman? See this video please and listen to her:
Ok, Iris Apfel is the excuse to recommend you the German VOGUE this month. What’s in there?
Takashi Murakami (who lives my dream, having ideas and guys who just get it done for you!), punk, glam, great 20s fashion, films, Yohji Yamamoto (another guy I love for his work and personality) talking about a perfume and other stories…and of course the last trends.
Please, no matter where you live, buy it!!!
