No words, I want one like this one, now!! Thank you Romy.
Thanks GlamAmor for the picture.

Yes I know, this was already in the media at the end of March, like my birthday. But I’ve been so out of everything I found out today, and I had to cry because I could not get any tickets. Kate, wonderful Kate. How many female artists would not even be there today, without Kate? One of the most honest, original, powerful and unique artists ever. I love you.
This is what I love about simple little dresses, they can look terrible if they don’t suit you or the color or the kind of “design” isn’t the one for you, but if everything fits and you wear it just like this…like Romy Schneider did in Swimming Pool, it’s incredible! Showing your back, your neck, and your legs is not just possible in a classic little black dress, yellow or cream tones are great if your skin has a natural tan (don’t fake it please, a natural white skin is just as beautiful!). I specially love the details on the neck, have a thing for special necks on dresses or sweaters…no matter what the item is really, look at the neck!
Thanks GlamAmor for the pictures, I’ve been waiting for them for a few days!
I really adore seeing smart and lovely women aging naturally, with grace. Francoise Hardy is one of my favourite icons ever, she is incredibly creative, always working it, and of course it’s always a pleasure listening to her. I definitely want to be like her when I’m her age, she inspires me…
Thanks to Rock n Fiocc for the picture.
Romy, she just is! And the neck is of course a very feminine and sensual part of our body, isn’t it? Maybe it’s just one more of my little anatomy obsessions, also when it comes to fashion. A coat, or a shirt with a great neck makes a huge difference if you let it do the job.
Thanks for the picture, ART BLART
Faces, Icons, Kate Moss, Tom Jones
Tom, Sir Tom, always there, because who has been there as long as Tom??. Of course other artists out there survived the 60s and 70s, but let’s face it, Tom is different.
Still that hair, that smile, that charming and gentleman attitude. Sir Tom Jones is The Man, the man I would love to met just to have a drink and listen to him, because as Kylie recently said on The Voice UK (where both work as judges), Tom’s voice sounds cool even when he is coughing! And she said that just after that lovely girl auditioning said: “your voice sounds a little bit like God, imagine just Got talking to you, you would be the voice”. That was really fun to watch, because Tom, always with his sense of humour and his Welsh ways, was so humble and surprised to hear that from a 16-year-old that said “I started doing gigs when I was 13”, and came to The Voice with her guitar singing her own version of “I’m Sexy and I know it”.
Sexy, even that is still there, like him. Will.I.am, who also sits there as a judge just beside Kylie and Tom, says things like “you’ll be save in the hands of the wisdom”, or ” this man has worked with every artist that ever lived on this planet”. Will, you’re one of a kind too, but Tom is Tom Jones.
Well, not a wonder he knows Kate Moss, and likes being next to her. I think Tom has a great common sense (so has Kate, otherwise I don’t think she would survive the business for that long), and Kate Moss is just becoming to fashion what Tom Jones is to music, a legend. Love them both, and Tom’s hair just finishes the look both of them give together! Sorry Tom, you know I love you.
Thanks to Grazia Daily Uk, there you’ll find a great review of Kate Moss looks over the years.
One of the last pictures ever taken of her, that shows her imperfection and unique personality. It’s not a picture from THE Last Setting, that was the incredible work between Marilyn and photographer Bert Stern, who was going to photograph her for VOGUE! Although I do have a very big and heavy book with pretty much every picture Bert Stern and Marilyn produced during those three days of work, I never could see what photos VOGUE actually did choose. I only know about the last photo they used for the end of the eight pages they gave Marilyn on that issue, I think it was August 1962.
Thanks to Drops Of Jupiter for the picture.
Andrew Birkin, mostly known as a film director but also for being the brother of Jane Birkin, took a lot of pictures of his sister by the time she was working with Serge Gainsbourg for the first time. The two where working in Slogan, and Jane told her brother that her partenaire Serge was “arrogant and horrible…”. But of course everything changed, she came to know Serge and the two became one of the most (if not the most famous) known couples ever in France. Thanks VOGUE Germany for the few pictures you show us this December of Andrew Birkin’s work.
My intention was to post about wearing high waist classic jeans, because it’s my favourite type of denim pants. But no matter if the black item is a sweater, a tank top, a t-shirt, a classic black shirt or something else, I think it’s one of the best choices you can make if you just want to keep it simple, but not less sexy and elegant.
It’s the attitude that make jeans look chic on women, and you don’t even need high heels to finish the look. I love making some noise with my shoes sometimes, but it’s not necessary if you pick your red lipstick and mascara (I mean not just red, but your red). I also have a personal thing with this photo, Cher’s hair is just like my mother’s back in the 70s when this picture was made by Jeff Goldblum. Thanks Jeff, thanks Cher.
Some time ago I bought that magazine with a quick interview with Kate Moss. This look pretty much what her answer to the question “what would you wear for a first date” was. Denim and black simple sexy top. Yeah!!!
Thank you Drops of Jupiter for the photo.
I know, this was not the first or the last time Björk did wear Alexander McQueen, but it’s the dress I could never forget. That glitter, that simplicity, that color, that shape…not to mention her, of course, no woman looks like her, sings like her, or gives us such a great performance on stage.
It’s not surprising to me that she has been so misunderstood for the way she uses fashion, she is not like other artists, or other women, she is Björk.
